Supporting Our Neighbors: Air-tow Trailers Helps After Local Tornado

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, an EF-3 tornado wreaked havoc on our neighboring communities, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. With winds reaching speeds between 136-165 mph (Orozco), the tornado claimed three lives, caused multiple injuries, destroyed homes and businesses, and left many without power.

As a company deeply rooted in our local community, Air-tow Trailers understands the importance of standing together in times of crisis. Upon learning of the recent tornado’s impact on Lakeview, Indian Lake, and Russells Point, we felt compelled to take immediate action. The devastation caused by the tornado was immense, and we couldn’t stand still while our neighbors faced such hardship. One of the most pressing needs was preserving food during the widespread power outages. Indian Lake School and Lulu’s Diner found themselves with the challenge of keeping their food supplies safe and usable. Recognizing this urgent need, we knew our ZERO° refrigerated trailer could make a significant difference.

Without hesitation, we donated a refrigerated trailer to Indian Lake School and Lulu’s Diner. This wasn’t just about providing a temporary solution for refrigeration; it was about offering support to our community members during a time of uncertainty. We knew that by helping to preserve essential food supplies, we could alleviate some of the immediate burdens faced by those affected by the tornado.

Watching our trailer be used in such a critical capacity was humbling and heartening. Seeing Indian Lake Schools provide a safe space to its community despite their challenges brought a sense of pride to our team. Similarly, Lulu’s Diner was able to keep its doors open and serve hot meals, offering a sense of normalcy and comfort during a difficult time.

Zero° Refrigerated Trailer Tornado Disaster Relief

Donating the ZERO° trailer wasn’t just a one-off act; it represents our ongoing commitment to the community. As a local business, we believe we have the responsibility to support our neighbors in times of need, whether through donations, volunteering, or simply lending a helping hand.

As the communities of Lakeview, Indian Lake, and Russells Point begin the long recovery and rebuilding process, we stand in solidarity with them. We know the road ahead won’t be easy, but we’re confident we can overcome any obstacle by working together. As we look towards the future, we remain committed to supporting and strengthening our community today and always. In the end, it’s not just about the trailers we make; it’s about the impact they have on the lives of those around us. And for us, there’s no greater satisfaction than knowing that we’ve made a difference when it mattered most.
